Meet Bradley
Hi everyone! My name is Bradley Shackleford. Born and raised in Johnston County, North Carolina. With over 6 years of professional photography experience, I will ensure all your photography needs are met!
I am a native of North Carolina and have lived most of my life in the greater Raleigh area. However, I served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years and spent much of that time traveling. I was stationed in Norfolk, VA aboard the mighty warship Vella Gulf. While stationed in VA, I was privileged to serve three deployments to the eastern Mediterranean in defense of Israel. I have visited roughly 16 eastern countries and would love to visit again someday. Israel and Turkey were my favorites!
I work full time for a large technology company based out of Raleigh, North Carolina, and offer my photography services during my free time. At home, I have a loving wife named Kayla, and a beautiful baby girl named Lillian. Also, I love serving God and his people by using my gift of photography to glorify Him. I would love to get to know you and capture your special moments in life.
My Approach & Photography "Style"
When choosing a photographer, you will have so many options to choose from, and of course, the two things to settle on are your photographer's approach and style.
My approach is simple. I consider myself a photojournalist. This means that I document my clients through photographs without manipulation. Instead, I prompt my clients to a natural reaction, and that is when I snal the shot. Most of the photographs that I take are "real" or unprompted emotion. While there is a time and place for a "posed shot", you will not find that to be my go-to when documenting your wedding day. I love to tell love stories through beautiful imagery.
My style is what I have fine-tuned over the years that creates images that can be defined as; clean, pure, authentic, rich, warm, cinematic, and semi-contrasty. In today's saturated photography market, you will see primarily three styles of photography. Light & Airy (not me), Saturated Vibrance (not me), and Dark & Moody (also not me). My style tends to be in the mid-range of moody and bright as I find it brings focus to my subjects.
As you dive into my portfolio, you will notice that no two images are alike, but my consistent style is what I strive to deliver every single time. I want to provide you with beautiful imagery that will age well and prove to be timeless for generations to come, while still being artistic and "different".

Meet My Wife!
I’m Kayla, Bradley’s other half. I handle all of the behind-the-scenes stuff so Bradley can spend his time behind the camera. So if you see the word “cute” in a post on Social Media, it’s me, not Bradley. (He said it was necessary that I clarify that!)
Meet Lillian
Our sweet baby girl was born during the Pandemic of 2020. Super exciting times! She is a sweet girl, loves to smile, loves to laugh (now), and loves cuddles! She seriously gives the best cuddles at night right before bedtime. Kayla and I have to rock/paper/scissors to figure out who gets those cuddles each night! We love her.
